Free Consultation: One of our dedicated Client Consultants will reach out at your preferred time to discuss your specific needs in detail. You’ll receive an initial estimate during this consultation.
Itinerary & Quote: After your consultation, your Client Consultant will create a custom itinerary and detailed quote, covering every aspect of your journey in an all-inclusive package – no hassle!
Support: Your Client Consultant, along with our team of registered nurses, will be available to address any questions or concerns. We understand that undergoing medical treatment abroad can be intimidating, so we’re here to make you feel at ease. Should your needs change, we’ll promptly update your itinerary and quote.
Arrangements: Once your plans are set, your Client Consultant will handle all the details. You’ll receive a comprehensive itinerary and information pack that includes travel and accommodation details, preparation advice for your procedure, your aftercare plan, and destination guides, along with details of your tours and excursions.
Our Process
Your peace of mind pre, during and post-surgical treatment, is MedXplore’s primary concern. Your MedXplore medical tourism journey is supported by a dedicated patient care coordinator, who’s responsibility it is to be at your beck and call through the following key steps.
book consultStep 1: Consultation
Book a free 15-minute consultation with your patient care coordinator. Upon completing the online contact form, MedXplore will reach out to you. Following your introductory consultation with MedXplore, based on factors such as urgency and the type of medical interventions required, Step 2 will proceed.Step 2: Treatment Plan
After completing Step 1 and identifying the appropriate medical intervention, MedXplore will assign a partner medical specialist/surgeon for your consideration. You may be advised to undergo tests such as blood tests, MRI’s, CT scans, X-rays, as recommended by the doctor. It is the patient’s responsibility to complete and pay for these tests prior to the specialist doctor consultation. A payment of US$450 to MedXplore covers the 1-hour online medical specialist doctor consultation and the preparation of your treatment plan.
The treatment plan includes:
- Airport, doctor, hospital, and all local transfers.
- Accommodation, considering its proximity to medical and surgical facilities.
- Pre-admission requirements.
- Hospital admission.
- Post-surgical care including physiotherapy, wound care, and post-surgical doctor visits.
- Post-surgical recovery, offering luxury sea and bush stays, including post-surgical spa holidays.
Step 3: Medical Procedure
Upon arriving in South Africa for your treatment plan, your dedicated patient care coordinator will meet you at the airport and guide you through the processes. You will meet your specialist doctor and other MedXplore and hospital team members responsible for your procedure and recovery. The medical procedure is completed, with the doctor’s team fully supporting post-procedure recovery, leading to Step 4.
Step 4: Post-Surgical Recovery
The MedXplore team closely coordinates any post-surgical treatment plan. Recovery takes place in tranquil and natural environments while maintaining access to private medical facilities and doctors. Local and regional activities, including shopping, wine tours, bush visits, and marine tours, are available and can be arranged by your MedXplore consultant.
Step 5: Home safe, sharing my medical tourism experience
MedXplore endeavors to deliver excellent service from your arrival to your departure. We value your feedback and will request you to complete a testimonial and survey regarding your MedXplore journey, helping us to enhance our service during your medical and travel experience in South Africa.
