1. Introduction
Welcome to MedXplore Medical Tourism South Africa Pty Ltd (“MedXplore”). These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our services. By engaging with MedXplore, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Provided
MedXplore facilitates access to medical tourism services through partnerships with hospital groups, home care services, accommodation providers, and tourist activity operators. We act as intermediaries, or brokers, connecting patients with these service providers.
3. Booking and Payment
3.1. All bookings must be made through MedXplore’s official channels.
3.2. Payments for medical treatments, accommodation, and other services must be made in accordance with the payment schedule provided at the time of booking.
3.3. Prices are subject to change and will be confirmed at the time of booking.
4. Insurance
4.1. All tourists using MedXplore’s services are required to take out a specific Medical Tourism insurance policy, which will be included in the treatment plan.
4.2. This insurance policy is mandatory and designed to cover complications arising from medical treatments abroad.
5. Visa and Legal Compliance
5.1. All tourists must comply with local visa requirements and ensure their visa status allows for medical treatment in South Africa.
5.2. Tourists must comply with all relevant South African laws and regulations during their stay.
6. Liability and Disclaimer
6.1. MedXplore acts as a medical lead broker and is not liable for any complications, issues, or dissatisfaction arising from services provided by our partners, including but not limited to hospital treatments, home care services, accommodation, and tourist activities.
6.2. MedXplore is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, or changes in the services provided by our partners.
6.3. Any disputes or claims arising from the services provided by partners must be addressed directly with the service provider or insurer.
7. Responsibilities of the Medical Tourist
7.1. Ensure that all medical records and information provided to MedXplore and the service providers are accurate and complete.
7.2. Follow all medical advice and post-treatment care instructions provided by the healthcare professionals.
7.3. Adhere to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy taken out for the medical tourism trip.
8. Changes and Cancellations
8.1. Any changes to the treatment plan or travel arrangements must be communicated to MedXplore as soon as possible.
8.2. Cancellation policies will be outlined at the time of booking. Fees may apply for changes or cancellations.
9. Privacy and Confidentiality
9.1. MedXplore respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data.
9.2. All medical information shared with MedXplore and its partners will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
11. Amendments
MedXplore reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you and will be effective immediately upon posting.
